Manager (CPA) for Business Support Services Successor to Senior Manager who plans to retire in 2 to 3 years. Regional Public Accounting firm located in Central Texas is seeking an assistant manager for the Business Support Services practice. This person will train to take the place of the Senior Manager’s position when that person retires in 2 to 3 years.
The person in this position will compile financial statements, lead the payroll services operations, help sell the services to prospective clients, know the billing processes, have responsibility for leading and managing employees, help to improve processes, know how to work with the IRS regarding civil penalties, help with collecting outstanding accounts and generally during this period learn to lead and grow this profitable department for the firm.
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in accounting; Masters preferred
- CPA designation
- 10 or more years in accounting
- 2 or more years as a manager
- Experience working in a public accounting firm

- Outstanding communications skills (verbal and written)
